A payment marked as Paid means the student has successfully completed the transaction. However, this does not mean the money has already reached your bank account. Settlements follow a separate processing cycle and may take additional time to complete.
Lynk follows a T+1 settlement cycle, which means payouts are typically completed on the next working day after payment.
Why This Happens
After a payment is marked as Paid:
The payment is confirmed by the gateway
The amount enters processing for settlement
Banking and payout rails take time to transfer funds
During this period, the status remains Paid until the payout is completed and marked as Settled.
How to Check Settlement Progress
To understand when the payment will be settled:
Open Payments → Requests
Select the specific payment request
Check the timeline on the request details
Look for the “Expected by” timestamp
This timestamp indicates the estimated settlement date based on Lynk’s T+1 cycle.
What to Do If Settlement Is Delayed
If the payment has crossed the expected settlement time:
Verify the timeline and ETA once more
Raise a support request from within the Lynk application
Share the relevant payment or transaction reference
The support team can track the payout status and assist further.
Summary
A Paid status confirms collection, not settlement. Settlements follow Lynk’s T+1 processing cycle and may complete after the expected timeline. If a payment remains unpaid past the shown ETA, contacting support ensures timely resolution.
