Introduction

When a payment request is shared with a student, they are redirected to a secure payment page to complete the transaction. This page is designed to be simple, transparent, and trustworthy, ensuring the customer clearly understands what they are paying for, how much they need to pay.

The final amount shown to the customer depends on how payment fees are configured on your Lynk account.

Payment Page Experience for Customers

When a customer opens a Lynk payment link, they see:

  • The coach or academy name

  • The purpose of payment (for example, class renewal or session fees)

  • The total amount payable

  • The payment expiry date and time

  • Supported payment methods such as UPI, cards, and net banking

This ensures customers have full clarity before proceeding.

How Fee Handling Affects What Customers Pay

Lynk allows flexibility in how payment gateway fees are handled. Based on your chosen setup, the amount shown to customers may vary.

If Fees Are Passed to the Customer

  • The customer sees:

    • Input base amount + 2% gateway fee (as one consolidated amount)

  • The total payable amount reflects:

    • Class or session fee

    • 2% gateway convenience fee

  • Your settlement amount remains intact as the input base amount, as the payment gateway fee is collected from the customer

This option makes the fee visible and transparent to the payer.

If You Absorb the Fees

  • The customer sees:

    • Only the base amount entered by you.

  • No charges are added on the payment page

  • The payment gateway fee is deducted from your final settlement

This option provides a similar experience for customers, while the cost is adjusted internally.

Why This Matters

Clear payment visibility helps:

  • Reduce payment drop-offs

  • Build trust with customers

  • Avoid confusion around extra charges

  • Ensure smoother collections and settlements

Regardless of how fees are handled, customers always see the final payable amount upfront before making the payment.

Summary

  • Customers always see one clear payable amount before paying

  • Fee breakdown visibility depends on your fee configuration

  • Payment links are secure and time-bound

  • The amount shown on the payment page is the final amount charged.
