Payment request Validity
Each payment link generated in Lynk is active for 24 hours from the time it is created.
During this window:
The student can open the link
Complete the payment using online methods
Successfully submit the payment without any additional action required from you
The remaining validity time is clearly shown in the Requests section.
What Happens After 24 Hours
Once the 24-hour validity period ends:
The payment link expires automatically
The request status changes to Expired
The link can no longer be used to make a payment
Any attempt to pay using the expired link will fail
Expired links are kept visible for reference but are non-payable.
Sending Payment Reminders
To improve payment completion, Lynk allows you to send automatic reminders for active payment links.
Key rules for reminders:
You can send up to 2 reminders per payment request
Reminders can be sent once every 8 hours
Reminders are delivered via WhatsApp and SMS
This ensures students receive timely nudges without being over-notified.
If a Payment Expires
If a student does not complete the payment before the link expires:
No action is required on the expired request
You can simply create a new payment request
A fresh payment link with a new 24-hour validity will be generated and shared
Each payment request is independent and does not carry over after expiry.

Prevent old or forgotten links from being reused
