What happens when a session starts

Starting a session turns a planned class into an active one. Once started, it moves into live execution so you can capture attendance and run the class in real time.

Session state changes to ongoing

  • The session transitions from upcoming to ongoing

  • Lynk now considers the class as actively in progress

  • Time-based actions and session tracking begin


Attendance marking is enabled

  • The student roster loads automatically from the batch

  • You can mark students present or absent

  • Attendance entries are tied specifically to this session


Session is treated as “in progress”

  • Coach notes and session actions become available

  • The session appears as active in your timeline

  • It can now be completed once the class ends

  • Starting a session activates it operationally

  • Attendance and notes can only be captured once a session starts

  • The session remains in progress until it is completed

  • Post end time if the session is not completed then it transitions to Not Completed

  • This ensures accurate tracking of live class delivery
