What happens to a lead after conversion

Once a lead is converted into a student, Lynk updates its status to Converted and moves it into the core system. This prevents duplicate follow-ups and ensures future actions happen on the student record, not the lead.

Lead Status After Conversion

When a lead is converted:

  • The lead status is updated to Converted

  • The lead is removed from active follow-up views

  • The lead no longer appears under:

    • Pending

    • Contacted

  • The lead appears only under the Converted filter for reference

This prevents duplicate outreach and keeps the lead pipeline clean.


Creation of the Consumer Record

At the moment of conversion:

  • A consumer record is created using the lead’s details

  • The consumer becomes an active entity in Lynk

  • The consumer profile is now the source of truth for:

    • Enrollment

    • Attendance

    • Payments

    • Reports and AI insights

The lead itself remains as a historical reference only.


What Becomes Available After Conversion

Once converted, the coach can:

  • Add the consumer to one or more batches

  • Include them in session attendance

  • Raise payment requests

  • Track progress and generate reports

  • Use AI-powered insights tied to real participation

None of these actions are possible at the lead stage.


Why Lynk Marks Leads as Converted

Marking leads as converted ensures:

  • No accidental double follow-ups

  • Clear distinction between enquiries and active consumers

  • Accurate conversion tracking

  • Better visibility into lead-to-student outcomes

It also allows coaches to quickly understand which enquiries resulted in real enrollments.


What Conversion Does Not Change

After conversion:

  • Batch enrollment still needs to be done manually

  • Payments are not auto-triggered

  • Session schedules are not modified

  • Attendance remains unmarked until sessions occur

Conversion only changes who the person is in the system, not what they are enrolled in.
