In Lynk, not every interested person becomes a student immediately. Many consumers first want to ask questions, understand availability, or check suitability before committing. These early expressions of interest are captured as leads.
A lead represents a potential consumer who has shown intent but has not yet been enrolled into any batch or session.
How a Lead Is Created
A lead is created when a consumer:
Opens your shared coach profile
Fills out the enquiry or interest form
Submits their contact details and requirements
Once submitted, this information is automatically stored in the Leads section of Lynk.
What Information a Lead Contains
Each lead typically includes:
Consumer name
Phone number and/or email
Activity or subject they are enquiring about
Any remarks or preferences shared by the consumer
Timestamp showing when the enquiry was made
This gives you enough context to respond meaningfully without searching through messages or calls.
How Leads Are Different from Enrolled Students
Leads are intentionally kept separate from enrolled students.
A lead has only expressed interest
An enrolled student is actively part of a batch or session
No enrollment, batch assignment, or session creation happens automatically when a lead is created. You remain in full control of when and how a lead is converted.
Lead Status and Lifecycle
Leads move through simple, clear stages:
Pending
Newly received and not yet contacted by you.
Contacted
Mark the lead as contacted once you’ve reached out to the prospective.
Converted
Convert the lead in your leads section to a student for a present batch or future enrollment
Archived
The lead is no longer active as the prospect hasn't shown interest to proceed ahead.
This lifecycle helps you track follow-ups and prioritize responses.
Why Leads Matter
Managing leads separately allows you to:
Track genuine interest without cluttering student lists
Follow up professionally and systematically
Avoid losing enquiries across platforms
Convert interested consumers at the right time
Leads act as the bridge between discovery and enrollment.
Summary
A lead in Lynk is a prospective consumer who has shared their details but is not yet enrolled. Leads are stored separately from students, allowing you to manage interest, follow up at your pace, and convert only when you’re ready—keeping your coaching operations organised and intentional.
