A payment request in Lynk is the standard way to collect payments from students.It works the same way across Lynk, regardless of whether you operate as an individual coach or as part of an organisation.

A payment request:

  • Is always created for a specific student

  • Generates a secure payment link

  • Automatically notifies the student to complete payment

The payment flow is common and consistent across Lynk. What changes is who can raise payment requests for specific students in an organisation ,not how payments work.

How Payment Requests Work

Every payment request in Lynk follows a consistent model:

  • Payments are always created for an individual student

  • A unique payment link is generated for that student

  • The link is used to collect a specific amount

Payments are never created in bulk and are not tied to batches or sessions.


What Happens When You Create a Payment Request

When a payment request is created:

  1. A secure payment link is generated

  2. The link is tagged to the selected student

  3. The requested amount is locked to that link

This ensures each payment is clearly traceable and mapped to the correct student.


How Students Are Notified

Once a payment request is created, the student is automatically notified through:

WhatsApp

  • Payment amount

  • Context of the request

  • Secure payment link

SMS

  • Backup or parallel notification

  • Direct payment link

The student can open the link and complete payment immediately.


What the Payment Link Represents

Each payment link in Lynk is:

  • Student-specific

  • Amount-specific

  • Secure and time-bound

This prevents incorrect payments and ensures collections are accurately recorded.


After the Student Completes Payment

Once payment is completed:

  • The payment status updates automatically

  • The transaction is recorded against the student

  • The amount becomes eligible for settlement

No manual confirmation is required.
