Introduction

Not all coaches or organisations are required to register under GST. If you are not GST registered, Lynk allows you to proceed with payments by submitting a GST exemption declaration.

This declaration is a mandatory confirmation that your business is legally exempt from GST registration based on your annual turnover and applicable tax rules.

When GST Declaration Is Required

You will be asked to submit a GST declaration if:

  • You do not enter a GST number during bank setup

  • Your annual aggregate turnover is below the GST registration threshold

  • You are exempt under applicable GST notifications

Without either a GST number or a GST declaration, bank details cannot be saved.

Where GST Declaration Appears

The GST declaration option appears during:

Profile → Bank Details

It is shown alongside the GST number field while adding or editing bank details.

How to Submit GST Declaration

  1. Open the Profile section in the Lynk app

  2. Go to Bank Details

  3. Fill in your bank account and PAN details

  4. Leave the GST Number field empty

  5. Tick the checkbox stating “I declare I am exempt from GST registration”

  6. Review the declaration message

  7. Tap Save Bank Details

Once saved, the declaration is recorded against your account.

What the GST Declaration Means

By submitting the declaration, you confirm that:

  • Your annual aggregate turnover is below the GST threshold

  • You are exempt from GST registration as per applicable tax laws

  • Lynk can process settlements without GST-linked invoicing

This declaration is required for compliance and audit purposes.

Important Notes

  • GST declaration is mandatory if GST number is not provided

  • Declaration replaces GST details for settlement eligibility

  • Incorrect declaration may lead to compliance issues

  • You can update GST details later if your registration status changes

What Happens After Declaration

  • Your bank details are accepted and saved

  • Payment settlements are enabled

  • Invoices and processing follow non-GST rules

No further action is required unless your GST status changes.

Summary

If you are not GST registered, Lynk requires a GST exemption declaration during bank setup. By ticking the declaration checkbox and saving your details, you confirm compliance eligibility and enable smooth payment settlements without providing a GST number.
