Introduction

Session completion is a critical moment in Lynk’s workflow. Ending a session doesn’t just stop the class—it formally records what happened and locks in the data that powers reporting, insights, and operational tracking.

By clearly defining how completion is recorded, Lynk ensures that every session becomes a reliable source of truth across the system.

What Happens When a Session Is Completed

When a coach ends a session, Lynk performs a series of system-level actions to finalize the record.

Attendance is locked in

The attendance marked during the session is saved as the official attendance for that class. This record feeds into student progress, billing cycles, and participation tracking.

Coach notes are committed

Any notes recorded during the session are stored as part of the session history. These notes provide context for future sessions and are used by AI for insights and planning. Please note, the coach can submit the coach notes after the session is completed as well.

Session status is updated

The session status moves from In Progress to Completed, clearly indicating that delivery has concluded.

How Completed Sessions Are Used Across Lynk

Once recorded, a completed session becomes a permanent reference point:

  • Used in progress reports and performance summaries

  • Feeds into AI-generated insights and recommendations

  • Contributes to attendance-based calculations and analytics

  • Appears in batch and session history

Why Completion Is locked and Reliable

Finalizing sessions ensures:

  • Clean, trustworthy data for reports and insights

  • Consistency across batch-level and student-level views

  • Protection against accidental changes to historical records

This balance allows limited corrections where appropriate while preserving the integrity of completed history.

Summary

Ending a session in Lynk formally records attendance, notes, and linked data into a completed session record. This finalized record becomes the foundation for reporting, insights, billing, and long-term tracking—making session completion one of the most important steps in the workflow.
